Overall totals for each organization will be updated and posted within 24 hours following Give Day. The overall total includes: checks, offline matches and gifts reported reported to CFTB, grants, prizes, and the total amount raised on Razoo between April 18 - May 2.

Rules & Restrictions

  • A single nonprofit can win a MAXIMUM of ONE (1) power hour prize.
Power Hour Prizes - A single nonprofit can only win ONE (1) of the prizes in the Power Hour category. The organization will win the prize that they are awarded FIRST. Once an organization has won a prize, they are not eligible for any prize later in the day regardless of prize amount or qualifications. If the nonprofit selected for a prize has already won another Power Hour prize during the day, the next runner up that has not won another Power Hour prize will be awarded. Winners will be announced as they are selected throughout the day. Offline gifts/checks will not count toward any prize in the Power Hour category.
  • Offline gifts/checks will not count towards any prizes.
  • Prizes for most UNIQUE donors will quantify only ONE (1) donation per person towards the nonprofit's total number of donors. For example, if an individual makes four donations to a single nonprofit, they will count as only ONE donor towards the total number of unique donors for that organization, regardless of the number of transactions or different email addresses / credit cards used by that single person. Leaderboard/Hourly prizes are based on the highest number of unique donors that each organization has on the day of the event and / or during a certain time period. A unique donor is defined as a person that has used their own credit card to make a donation and supplied their personal email address with that donation. Creating unique donors using false email addresses, by using either auto-generated emails or using the emails of friends, family or students, goes against the spirit of the event. The Community Foundation will be auditing all of the donations of prize winners before winners are announced. Organizations that have or create false unique donors will be excluded from receiving prizes.
  • Small nonprofits are classified as having an annual operating budget of $500,000 or less, and large nonprofits have an annual operating budget greater than $500,000.
  • The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay “Outside the Box” Prize: To apply: Describe your Give Day strategy in 100 words or less. Explain the unique ways you promoted your nonprofit and Give Day to the community. Supplemental materials may be requested, and judges will consider all available information, including but not limited to events, social media, and Razoo profile.
To apply: Email giveday@cftampabay.org by April 18. Subject line: Outside the Box.

Rules

Any individual may donate. Donations through Give Day Tampa Bay 2017 are received and receipted by Razoo Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity that operates a donor advised fund to fulfill donor advisements.

The minimum donation is $5 and there is no maximum donation limit. Donations are tax-deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded). Contribution may be made via credit and debit card only

This year, participating nonprofits will be charged a nominal onetime fee at the time of registration. As Give Days have grown and evolved over the years, it has become a best practice nationally to charge a small fee to help cover administrative costs. Host organizations across the country have found that a nominal participation fee has led to more engaged nonprofits and more successful campaigns.

You will have access to your Razoo profile for 1 year to accept online gifts.

Fee Structure: Register before the end of February, $25; in March, $35; or in April, $50.

For an organization to participate, they first must register and be approved by Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. To do so, please visit the nonprofit toolkit.

Organizations can track donations in real-time and have access to donor name and contact information, unless the donor chooses to make an anonymous contribution. As host of Give Day Tampa Bay 2017, Community Foundation of Tampa Bay will receive contact information for donors who participate in Give Day Tampa Bay 2017. This information is used solely to thank the donor for participating, provide the option to opt-in to receiving future notifications from Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, and to notify the donor of future Give Day Tampa Bay 2017 activities.

Community Foundation of Tampa Bay can modify any restrictions or conditions if, in the sole judgment of the Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community. As such, Community Foundation of Tampa Bay reserves the right to deny or condition the distribution of prize grants if, in the judgment of its Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes necessary.
